So I know we have a two-yr-old as the phrase "I do it myself!" is making its way into almost every conversation.
It's cute (and so far, harmless) and about 2,000 times better than his second favorite phrase---"Stop It!" Because how do you tell a toddler to stop yelling "Stop It!" at you?
I like to think I'm smart, but it took me a few battles to figure it out. With that phrase, he's got us right where he wants us...
Dash: "Stop It!"
Mommy: "Dash, Stop."
Dash: "Stop it, Mommy!"
Mommy: "No, Stop It."
Dash: "Stooooooppppppp ittttttttt!!!!!"
Maommy: "Dash---STOP saying STOP IT!!!!"
And that's when I realized that only a two-yr-old can make me act like a two-yr-old.
Eventually, I learned how to deal ("Dash, be nice."), but it's only a matter of time before I'm tested again....
