T-40 Days

That's right...We'll be welcoming Baby Tad to our home in less than six weeks!

On one hand, hard to believe that we still have six weeks to go; on the other hand, hard to believe that he will be here in six weeks or less! Regardless, it's time to get into gear and get that baby nursery done (or just started...anything will be helpful at this point!)

Fortunately, with the love of some friends and co-workers, we now have a nice stash of diapers, wipes, necessities, and of course, some super cute handmade burp cloths and clothes. I'll be posting some pictures of the cuteness soon, but until then, you're stuck with a picture of me...at 34-weeks.

We had our final ultrasound this week...the pictures didn't turn out too cute, but we confirmed we have a healthy baby on the way!

During the ultrasound, Tad had his hands in front of his face, and to be honest, the push of the scope on my belly was making me ill, so I didn't care to 'keep going' for a better shot. We'll see him soon enough! And in case there was any concern, the doctor did confirm that yes, it is indeed a B-O-Y!

As for measurements and weight guesses...I, apparently, am measuring on the small side, but Tad, apparently is measuring slightly big. (I don't really understand that one...) His head size and femur put him at approx. 5 lbs. 3-4 oz. as of now, which is about 1/2 a week ahead of schedule. The doc estimates final birth weight anywhere from under 7 lbs. to 7 lbs. 8 oz.

Does anywhere out there have any weight, height, or arrival date guesses?!?

And Big Brother Dash is getting ready for Baby Tad's arrival, too. He is getting a new "big boy" bed out of the deal and some new stuff for his room. He does understand that Baby Tad is in Mommy's belly, but he also sometimes thinks that there is a baby in his belly or in Daddy's belly, too!
