This year was such a blast--CFD cooperated and so Tyler got off for both Christmas Eve and Christmas! We enjoyed Christmas Eve with Tyler's side of the family, made it to a great Christmas Eve service, set out cookies for Santa Claus at our own home, and then celebrated Christmas with my side of the family at our place.
Dash enjoyed all his "prizes" (what he calls "presents".) It was definitely a Toy Story Christmas at our house, almost embarrassingly so. Between Gigi & Paw-Paw, Kiki, and us, I think that Dash received every Toy Story character/gun/dress-up outfit on that aisle in Toys R Us.
Every one EXCEPT for a Jessie, which I kid you not, he specifically asked for!! About 3 days before Christmas, we started talking up Santa and presents, and every time we would ask him what he wanted for Christmas, he would say "Jessie!" I almost sent Tyler to Walmart on Christmas Eve, but we restrained ourselves, and well, he seems to be ok with the fact that there was no Jessie under the tree.
As for Tyler and I, although every year we say something to the effect of "we don't need presents," we both cave in and spend money on each other. I got a new Dooney purse (for Christmas/Birthday), and Tyler got an assortment of gifts during a "12 Days of Christmas" gift-giving session. (Yes, 12 days; 12 gifts---it was a lot of fun!)
Another HUGE Christmas gift was the delivery & set-up of Tad's nursery furniture (courtesy of Gigi & Paw-Paw and Tyler)!!! Pictures to come ASAP--I'm already at work sorting, organizing, and nursery-ing!! Only 4 weeks...

I guess Santa did come--the cookies and milk are gone!

Yep! He did! Let's start opening!!

Paw-Paw was the designated "gift-opener."

Hard at work on his new workbench.
When I tried to come over and play with him, he said "No! Go Mommy!"
I guess it's a man thing...

The aftermath. Sadly, my living room looks like this most days--especially after Jax or Olivia comes to play!
