We (thoughtfully) held out on the 15-month check-up. We wanted to avoid landing ourselves in the doctor's office smack dab in the middle of flu season. So, today, at Dash's exact 17-month birthday, we took him in.
Quick stats for those who are keeping notes:
Height: 33 inches (75-90%)
Weight: 22 lbs. (10%) (No concern on Dash's long & lean tendencies...after all, look at his dad!)
Despite having a runny nose (headed into week #2 of this!), Dash is in fantastic health. He is exactly where he should be (if not ADVANCED, lol) in terms of development, speech, physical abilities, etc.
The only thing that he is perhaps lagging in is....Teething! That poor child has been eating sandwiches, chips, fruit snacks---you name it--- with only four teeth (two on top and two on bottom), which he has had since he was 8 months! And I swear he has been teething/drooling since January! Thankfully, however, a fifth tooth just popped in on the top, and randomly, a molar is coming in on the back left side.
And yes, the visit included two shots to round out the vaccinations. But our little champ hardly cried. In fact, he cried bigger tears when the nurse held him down to measure his height! All in all, he got a nice, green sucker at the end and is at home playing happily!
