My Sous Chef

Yesterday afternoon was by far, one of the best Wednesday afternoons I've had in a while. I made banana bread, and with Dash acting as my sous chef, it made for such a wonderful time! Seriously! Dash was so excited to be trying something new--standing on the chair, for instance--and he was shocked that this time, mommy's bowls and spoons were actually full of real food!

We were barely two minutes in before he dumped a spoonful of flour out, but oh well! We made up for it when, three minutes later, he dumped an extra spoonful of sugar in! (Sugar addict?)

At the end of the day, the kitchen was destroyed--I think we used every measuring spoon, measuring cup, and mixing bowl I owned--but seeing Dash so happy and proud of his work was totally worth it! (Plus, it helped that I had Tyler there to help clean up...see pic below!)

These are great! Now I have to think of something we can bake so Jax can help.
