On the corner of 1st and Amistad...

Last night, Tyler and I ventured to see Jack's Mannequin and The Fray in concert at The Woodlands Pavillion. It was really awesome! I know a lot of you are more familiar with The Fray, since they are mainstream, but the Madd's were actually more interested in hearing Jack's. This is my favorite band, by far. (FYI, one or two of the videos we've made have used their music).

So last night, was so sweet. Even in the lawn seats-where 95% of the people had no clue who Jack's was-I was able to sing along without anyone really hearing me. A band called Meese opened for Jack's, and they were pretty good too; so if you like Jack's, you may like them too.

Unfortunately, by the time The Fray took stage at about 9:00 p.m. the Madd's were on their way back home to tend to Dash. With help from my parents-who were able to stretch Dash 2+ hours past his normal feeding time-we were able to still enjoy a wonderful dinner out and a relaxing summer evening listening to great music. Thanks Gigi and Paw-Paw!

And thanks Tyler, for a fantastic mother's day gift!
