Lord, Thank you for Dash. I ask your blessing on him. I beg your blessing on him. I pray that the theme for his life is that he thinks for himself, and lives for others.
May he never buy into this world's corrupt views of success. If you call him to be a nurse, I pray he will not settle for becoming a doctor. If you call him to be a teacher, I pray he does not settle for becoming a lawyer. If you call him for a life of service, may he not settle for being king. If you call him to be a king I shall not think to ask of making things easy for him, instead give him courage. I pray that the tasks you give him are of Everest size, but more importantly that you give him the audacity to rise up and conquer them for you. I pray that you make him strong. That he may be stronger than I have ever been so that he may be weak and see you work.
Lord, bless him when he is a baby and let him be a baby. Bless him when he is a little kid and let him be a little kid. Bless him in adolescence and let him not be crazy. Bless him as he becomes an adult and guide him to who you created him to be. Please call after him and let him hear your voice. If you grant me one thing, please call him and let him hear you. I will consider every hardship an utter joy if only he finds you and the greatness you are.
Please protect Dash from harm, but most importantly from this world. I beg you that you would help him think for himself and live for others. I ask all of these things not for his glory or our glory, but for yours. In everything he does, I pray that you are the one who is glorified through it. Not for us, but for your glory.
In your everlasting perfect love I pray,
Amen
