Visiting Family in San Antonio

We had a blast last weekend in San Antonio visiting my brother and his family and celebrating birthdays for my nephews, Caleb (10) and Noah (7). My brother and Misty are perhaps the coolest parents ever, choosing to combine the resources set aside for two parties to put toward one super-fantastic Video Game Truck rental.

It was perhaps the coolest thing ever (and that's coming from me, a 27-year-old-female!) So you can imagine what the 7-year-olds and 10-year-olds thought. The truck was equipped with 4 flatscreen t.v.'s each hooked up to a Wii, Playstation, and X-Box. The other side was lined with super-comfy leather couches with a ledge above, allowing for "theatre-style" seating. I'm pretty sure I heard someone yell "totally awesome" more than once!

Since we stayed for a few days, we also got to see Noah play baseball, bounce on the trampoline, and of course, go to SEA WORLD!!

First, we visited this cool Sesame-Street-themed splash park/giant-sized jungle gym/kiddie ride place.

Caitlyn (in green) is not too keen on the picture, but where's Dash you wonder?

Oh, there he is. Making a statement.

Gotcha! Caught a smile...

Mommy had fun climbing up this too!

Caleb (on r.) and Noah (on l.) won everybody frogs in a fishing game! I'm sure they spent about $35 trying, but it was super sweet! And from Dash's expression, that we had been at the park for like 17 hours...nope...that was about 45 mins in, poor guy!

Tad's first ride on the carousel. He's happy!

And the piece d'resistance! SHAMU!

And BABY SHAMU, which by far, was my favorite. I wasn't sure how the shows would go over, but both Dash and Tad loved them. We saw Shamu (because you can't go to Sea World and not see Shamu), as well as an aerialist/dolphin/bird/diving/coolness show. Lots of fun!

And then of course, we fed the dolphins.

It was so much fun, and since we got a season pass (good til 2013!), we'll be heading back as often as possible. Maybe even next time, Tyler and I can get on the roller coasters!
