I guess the teacher missed my (admittedly) small permanent marker "Maddox" on Dash's things, so each day, he has been coming home with a piece of masking tape labeled "Dash M." across his items. I don't know about you, but I did not go on a wild-goose-chase for the perfect back-pack only to have it jumbled up with tape! (Ok, yes, I am vain about weird things like this...)
Enter my alternative....Personalized Luggage Tags!
Made by Yours Truly!
With my Photoshop "expertise," Office Depot's printing department, and a set of self-stick laminated luggage tags (from Office Depot), I created the perfect tag to i.d. my boys' back-packs, lunch-kits, and nap mats!
Before
After
The cost? Less than $8 - about $6 for a set of tags and about $2 for printing (which I could have done at home, but printer ink is so dang expensive!) I saw one place sell these tags online for $16 each!
Now I will say that if I were to do it again (which I guess I sort of am--for neighbors), I would pay better attention to size. Dash and Tad's pictures were slightly altered (aka: cut) because my finished size was a little larger than the actual luggage tag size. Easy fix, and one that bothers me enough to mention, but not enough to re-do!
Overall, I am super happy with the product and frankly proud that I whipped these out one afternoon.
