Enjoying the Gifts!

So what do you get a two-year-old for his birthday?
A new pet--or a tank full of them!

After seeing Dash enjoy Jaxson's fish tank for quite some time, Tyler and I decided to get Dash his very own fish tank for his second birthday. And so far, he loves it! Every day, he helps us feed the fish. He also makes sure we turn the light on in the tank each morning after he wakes up.

He even tells us when his fish are "stuck" to the filter. Ok, so this has only happened once, and Dash caught it as soon as we flipped the light on to say "Good Morning, Fish!" thus I had no warning! Apparently, the life expectancy on a $.23 feeder/goldfish is less than 10 days...we've now got the tank stocked with more robust fish and have graciously avoided the "bye-bye fish" talk/flush.

Of course, he still loves LadyBelle, but his fish are important, too!

And then of course, another popular gift (or at least one that I got a picture of!) is his train set.

Some other highlights of the loot include Mr. Potato Head (which he slept with the first few nights); his garbage truck (he still loves fire trucks, but the garbage truck as a lot of lifts/openings to store stuff); and his three guns (he might only have two hands, but that doesn't stop him from grabbing all three! He'll usually pass one onto you, then ask you to fight to the death with him!)
