I am 11 Months Today!

And here are some of the totally cute and awesome things I do...

Communication:
  • Say "My Mama," "Dada," "Dot" (Dog), "Dat" (That), and "Ba" (Bath)
  • Point (I point at everything, and say "Dat," which means "What's that?" or "Let me see that!" In fact, I point out all the balloons at the stores, and the other day I totally suckered my daddy into buying me one for no reason!)
  • Baby Signs - "More" and "All Done" are my favorites. Mom is trying to teach me "Hungry," "Thirsty," "Please," and "Thank You." (She's ambitious.)
  • I know the word "No," and generally listen when my parents say it...although I will protest sometimes, and throw my head back.
  • I also know how to kiss (really messily though!) and am starting to learn how to blow kisses. Watch out ladies!!
Favorite Games and Toys:
  • I push my lion everywhere and into everything. I have even learned how to re-position it/re-arrange myself to move it when it gets stuck.
  • I love books about as much as my parents! I read all the time. I especially love the ones that are "touch-and-feel" or have flaps for me to lift up.
  • I think it is really funny to stand inside my little playhouse (yes, my parents have left it in the living room) and throw all the balls done the slide one by one.
  • It's really fun when my daddy chases me around the house, saying "I'm gonna get you!" In fact, I love it when people "chase" me...sometimes I can get my pal Jaxson to follow me, so that is fun, too.
Meal Time:
  • I am a carb-addict, just like my mom. Give me a roll, piece of bread, or chips, and I am in heaven.
  • Right now, I am at a stage where I want "bigger" foods than baby food, but am still a little uncertain about the texture of "bigger" foods. I know this drives my parents crazy when it comes to feeding time, but I am just learning my way still.
  • A few of the things I'll almost always eat are: avocado, cereal bars, mandarin oranges (sometimes!), yogurt, chips (baby or organic cheetos), Annie's brand crackers, dried fruit and yogurt melts, and mostly any fruit-flavored baby food.
  • And yes, if you are wondering, my parents still have me on a 90% organic/natural diet. They've sorta adopted that, too, which means my mom eats a lot of my Annie's crackers with me!
Physical Milestones:
  • I am officially a "Toddler!" Sure, I still crawl sometimes because it is easier, but I am very proud of myself when I make it walking from Point A to Point B. Each day, I amaze my parents by walking farther and farther distances. I even freaked my mom out when I walked around the corner into the kitchen the other day. Plus, I've learned how to control myself, doing better than a "three-step fall!"
  • I can also stand by myself, but the cool thing is that I move from standing into a crouch and then back up again to standing. It's sort of like a lunge, but I take a break while down to pick up a tiny piece of dirt or something else to stick in my mouth. (In fact, I am thinking of creating a work-out video with my overseas pal, Aiden. With his "push-ups" and my leg routine, we could totally rock that.)
  • My hair is getting so unruly, that I now have a little "flip/curl" in the back.
  • I am still tall and thin (like someone else I know), wearing 9-12 (sometimes 18) months in shirts, but 6-9 months in pants. (And yes, the pants are almost always too short and the long sleeves on my jackets and shirts are almost always too short).

Well, if you made it all the way through this post, I appreciate it! Pat your-self on the back! It was a long one, and let's face it, my parents just really wanted to brag about me. They think I hung the moon (whatever that means). They just love me to pieces, sometimes smothering me with kisses or squeezing the life out of me with hugs. And you know what, I love them, too!
