You're Hired!

Part Time Professional Writer - sounds official, huh? Well, it is! I (Lauren) started my new job today. I'm a part-time professional writer for Lone Star College-Montgomery. I'll be writing press releases, feature stories, and any other thing they need me to pound out. Oh and best part - I get a Mac...sweet!

It is an adjustment to return to work after a 6-month hiatus, especially when I am leaving a mini-Tyler behind. But God has really handled all the details and made it easy for this mama to make the transition. First off, the college is letting me be flexible on my schedule for a while, so that Tyler can watch Dash primarily. Then, once I go to a set schedule, there is a lady in our neighborhood who is going to watch Dash on days when both Tyler and I work. To find someone who is willing to alternate days to accompany our 24-on/48-off lifestyle is a blessing...plus, she really is very attentive, loving, peaceful, and kind!! And finally, Dash is now old enough to eat cereal/veggies/fruit for a feeding, meaning he won't starve when mama is not home.

We're praising God for this new chapter in our lives. We're also praising him for the SIX MONTHS that I was able to be at home with my baby - we are so blessed for that time!!

And now, what you came for...pictures of Dash, who just recently turned 6 Months!

Doing Laundry With Mom Is Fun!

He started off on that playmat...thinkin' it's about time to move the playmat to storage!

Dash loves to stick his tongue out for fun

So cute I popped a button!

"Tyler, take a picture that gets the bananas on his butt," said Lauren.
